Prof. Kyoko Yamamoto（Specially Appointed）
　My name is Kyoko Yamamoto, and I joined the Laboratory for Future Interdisciplinary Research of Science and Technology as a Specially Appointed Professor on July 1, 2026.
At AGC Inc., I am engaged in technology strategy and planning, working to bridge long-term industrial challenges with cutting-edge academic research through industry–academia collaboration.
Science Tokyo provides a unique interdisciplinary environment where materials science converges with fields such as sustainability and energy, information science, quantum technologies, space, and fusion energy. By leveraging these strengths, I hope to contribute to innovations that span the entire spectrum from fundamental research to real-world applications.
Building on the AGC Materials Collaborative Research Hub, I look forward to strengthening partnerships between academia and industry and exploring new opportunities for interdisciplinary research and innovation.

Assoc. Prof. Satoshi Mototani（Specially Appointed）
　My name is Satoshi Mototani, and I joined Laboratory for Future Interdisciplinary Research of Science and Technology as a Specially appointed associate professor on July 1, 2026. My primary current responsibility is to explore the future needs that will contribute to AGC’s business growth, building upon the AGC Material Collaborative Research Hub, an organizational collaboration hub with AGC Corporation, where I am affiliated. At the same time, I hope to contribute to the development of both the university and the industrial sector by connecting the university’s diverse knowledge to the resolution of social challenges and by returning the outcomes to society and industry. Going forward, while sincerely dedicating myself to creating new value through these activities under your guidance and support, I will also devote my efforts to advancing effective industry-academia collaboration that bridges education, research, and social implementation. I look forward to working with you.
