Prof. Koshiro NISHIMURA<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/a>\uff08Urban Disaster Prevention Research Core\uff09<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Nishimura_hp.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.first.iir.isct.ac.jp\/news\/uploads\/Nishimura_hp.png\" width=\"150\" height=\"180\" class=\"mt-image-none\" align=\"left\" vspace=\"10\" hspace=\"10\">I have started for a new post of an Associate Professor in FIRST on April 2018. I graduated from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1997, and received a Doctor&#8217;s degree of Engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2001. I worked as a research associate and later an assistant professor in Tokyo Institute of Technology from 2001 to 2011. From 2011 to 2018, I have been an associate professor in Hokkaido University. My research interests are design and behavior of building structures, earthquake engineering, impact loading on structures, and so forth. I have a professional career of seventeen years mainly in experimental study.
