Asst. Prof. Yosuke Mizuno and Prof. Kentaro Nakamura, FIRST, IIR, and their group members received the Telecom System Award 2018 from the Telecommunications Advancement Foundation. Their paper “Ultrahigh-speed distributed Brillouin reflectometry” (published in Light: Sci. Appl., vol. 5, e16184 (2016)) was highly evaluated. The awarding ceremony was given at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo on March 20.<\/p>\n
