I received my PhD in the graduate school of engineering science from Osaka university in the same year. My main field of research is high frequency circuit. During the PhD period, I was concentrating on the work of terahertz integrated circuits based on photonic-crystal waveguide platform. Compact resonant tunneling diode (RTD) transmitter and receiver were successfully integrated with the photonic-crystal waveguides in the 0.3-THz band. Moreover, terahertz communications applications were demonstrated for a proof of concept. My future work will focus on the high-frequency and high-power operation of RTD transmitters, which are aimed to achieve ultrahigh-speed terahertz wireless communications.
