After receiving my PhD degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology in 2017, I have been an assistant professor in National Institute of Technology, Okinawa College until March 2022. My research topic is optical signal processing for communication technology, such as optical FEC coding technology and optical likelihood estimation. I would like to overcome a bottleneck in the current communication system to develop my research projects. I have been just appointed as a new assistant professor of Prof. Sone and Prof. Chang research group in the Advanced Materials Research Core of Laboratory for Future Interdisciplinary Research of Science and Technology (FIRST) from April 1, 2022. I received my Doctor of Engineering degree from Tokyo Institute of Technology in March 2022. My research areas cover electrochemistry and polymer-based materials. In my doctor course, I have developed efficient electrolysis systems to modify conducting polymer films. My recent research interests have included the development of functional hybrid materials, and electrocatalysis, which are beneficial to our society. Prof. Dongbo ZHOU<\/a><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u3000From April 1st 2022, Dongbo Zhou became an Assistant Professor of Research Center for Biomedical Engineering, Laboratory for Future Interdisciplinary Research of Science and Technology (FIRST). After obtained the Doctoral degree. I worked as a specially-appointed assistant professor and a researcher at FIRST. I specialized in robotics and human-machine interaction. I have been working on the surgery assistant robot, including the control system being able to provide haptic feedback to the surgeon, hardware design innovation, and active vision feedback during the surgery. I received my Ph.D. degree in Health Science form Kyushu University in September 2016. From December 2016 to December 2018, I worked in Medical Image Processing Group, Department of Radiology, University of Pennsylvania, USA, as a Postdoctoral Researcher. I have been working in the field of medical image processing and computer-aided diagnosis for 10 years. I will work on improving the performance of computer-aided diagnostic systems by developing and integrating state-of-the-art artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies in the systems. I have been appointed as an Associate Professor of Laboratory for Future Interdisciplinary Research of Science and Technology (FIRST) on April 1, 2022. After completing my PhD course at Tokyo Institute of Technology, I joined Toshiba Corporation, where I worked on research and development of integrated circuits for wireless communication. Then, I worked on intelligent motors with wireless communication functionality at Nidec Corporation. Since arriving as an assistant professor at Tokyo Tech in 2018, I have been working on wireless transceivers that can be mounted on small satellites and wireless power transfer. I will be working on integrated circuits for wireless communication to extend the coverage of wireless networks, and to deploy them to space. I have just been assigned to a professor of Laboratory for Future Interdisciplinary Research of Science and Technology (FIRST) on April 1, 2022. After receiving my Dr. degree from Tokyo Tech in 2000, I have been worked in Building Research Institute and National Institute for Land and Infrastructure Management. My research field is structural dynamics, earthquake engineering and design load for buildings. I have been appointed as Assistant Professor of the Laboratory for Future Interdisciplinary Research of Science and Technology (FIRST), Institute for Innovative Research (IIR) from 1st April 2022. My previous research was focused on buckling of beam longitudinal rebar and shaking table test for the out-of-plane performance evaluation and strengthening of the brick masonry infill walls along with the seismic performance evaluation of RC frame building with infill walls considering both the in-plane and the out-of-plane performance of the infills. Recently, I am engaged in research related to the seismic performance of RC frames with CLT infill walls. He received his Ph. D. degree in electrical engineering from Tokyo Institute of Technology in March 1979. From January 1, 2000 to March 31, 2022, he worked for Tokyo Tech as Professor and then Specially-Appointed Professor in the department of electrical and electronic engineering, and then the innovator and inventor development platform (IIDP). Prior to it, He was with Nagaoka University of Technology and Okayama University.
