Cooling-Rate-Controlled Cation Redistribution in Co–Fe Spinel Nanomaterials for Enhanced Photooxidative Catalysis |
| Research Summary |
This award recognizes Mr. Chen’s development of a novel method to dramatically enhance the performance of photooxidative catalysts, which convert light into energy to drive chemical reactions. Focusing on spinel nanomaterials composed of cobalt and iron, the study successfully optimized the internal microscopic structure (cation redistribution) by precisely controlling the cooling rate during fabrication. This structural control significantly improves photochemical reaction efficiency, promising great contributions to future clean environmental technologies and next-generation energy conversion materials. His innovation in cutting-edge nanomaterials engineering and high potential for solving environmental issues received high international acclaim. |

Material Evaluation of Atomic-Level Au/Polyaniline Hybrid Films Fabricated by Cyclic Au Electrodeposition |
| Research Summary |
This breakthrough achievement involves the fabrication and precise material evaluation of an unprecedented, atomically controlled hybrid thin film. Using a unique method called cyclic electrodeposition to deposit gold by periodically varying the electric potential, Mr. Okamoto successfully synthesized an ultra-fine composite thin film combining gold and a conductive polymer (polyaniline). By clarifying its superior functional properties through advanced analytical techniques, the study demonstrated its high potential for application in nano-devices and high-sensitivity sensors. In addition to the top-tier quality of his research, his outstanding presentation in the PhD competition was highly praised, earning him a double honor. |
